DrinksCalc is built by drinks trade professionals who have spent years pricing products for UK retailers, wholesalers, bars and restaurants. We built it because the sums the trade does every day, like duty on a bottle, a retailer's margin, a bar's GP or what a "1 on 6" deal is really worth, still live in scattered spreadsheets, and accurate UK duty calculators are hard to find.
How we keep it accurate
- Duty rates come straight from HMRC's published rates. Every duty page shows when they were last checked.
- Every calculator shows its formula and a worked example, so you can check the maths yourself.
- Margins are worked on ex-VAT selling prices, the way UK trade buyers quote them.
- If you spot something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
How it's funded
DrinksCalc is free to use with no sign-up. It's supported by sponsorship, and sponsored placements are always labelled "Sponsored". Sponsors have no say over the calculators or their results.
